ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR
POLITICAL SCIENCE MASTER’S PROGRAM
Applicants who meet the following minimum requirements are shortlisted and called for an interview:
Evaluations of graduate program applicants will be made according to the written or oral examination in addition to their ALES score and Bachelor’s degree CumGPA. Evaluation of applicants of non-thesis programs will be made solely according to their Bachelor’s degree CumGPA.
MASTER’S PROGRAM EVALUATION PROCEDURES
Thesis Master’s Programs: For the calculation of evaluation score of the Turkish national applicants, 50% of their ALES score or an equivalent score, 30% of their Bachelor’s degree CumGPA, and 20% of the oral or written examination, whose weight will be determined according to their institute department, will be added. For the calculation of evaluation score of the foreign applicants from whom an ALES score is not expected, 65% of their Bachelor’s degree CumGPA, and 35% of the oral or written examination, whose weight will be determined according to their institute department, will be added. Candidates who collect 40 points or higher from the exam that has the higher weight and 50 or higher from the evaluation score are counted as successful. Successful candidates are sorted by starting from the highest score and they are placed to the programs considering the available quota.
Non-Thesis Master’s Programs: Bachelor’s degree CumGPA is considered as the evaluation score for both Turkish and foreign applicants. Those who have 50 points or higher for the evaluation score become successful. Successful candidates are sorted by starting from the highest score and they are placed to the programs considering the available quota.
