Program Qualifications

1 To understand and interpret fundamental concepts in social sciences, economics and law.
2 To understand the fundamental principles and goals as well as methods and analysis of data collection in scientific research.
3 To obtain advanced knowledge in certain sub-fields of Political Science and International Relations disciplines.
4 To develop a critical mind and an analytical capacity necessary to question what is presented as right, real and/or common sense.
5 To develop the ability to reach alternative sources of knowledge and be prepared for lifelong learning in a constantly changing world.
6 To develop the ability to carry out scientific research independently and to present its findings to the scientific community.
7 To obtain advanced knowledge and comprehension of Turkish society, politics and culture as well as Turkish constitutional and administrative systems.
8 To develop a deeper understanding of classical and contemporary political theories as well as international law and international organizations.
9 To be able to comprehend and assess global political, economic and cultural relations.
10 To be conscious of social and environmental needs.
11 To obtain proficiency in English for daily communication and advanced professional purposes (European Language Portfolio, Level 1).
12 To develop a capacity of self-expression in oral and written forms, independently and/or in groups.
13 To have proficiency in using information and communication technologies in a constantly changing world (basic level computer literacy).
